I had jury duty there today and the experience was really delightful. The sole reason? The courthouse personnel. Everyone was friendly, respectful, accommodating. They went out of their way to make you feel at home and express how important you are. It sounds silly but at one point I wanted to cry with how important jury duty really is and how lucky we are to have a country which runs on a jury of peers system. Parking may be a bit of a challenge... it's on-street and much of it is time-limited. A 2 hour limit is not going to be enough. Go a bit early to ensure you can find parking and not be late. I found a couple of parking places up a residential neighborhood within easy walking distance of the courthouse, no signs, no meter. No ticket on the windshield, yay. Have breakfast before you go and/or bring snacks and a bottle of water. Coffee is okay in the jury room but not allowed in the courtroom. Bottle of water is okay in the courtroom. Bring laptop, phone, and/or a book to kill some time in the jury room because there is a fair amount of waiting. I didn't see any vending machine and they don't really want you wandering outside of the jury room. Nice clean bathrooms in the jury room. Bring a sweater in case you get cool in the air conditioning. Enjoy!
I was pleasantly surprised and impressed compared to other times I have been called for jury duty in other courts. Please take with a grain of salt as I can only speak from my limited experience and I am sure it varies day-to-day.

The best thing about the Brighton Division of the Boston Municipal Court is the people. The clerk's office is very helpful and always honest with lawyers about continuing a case. They are willing to say no when they should. Most often they say yes, but when they say no, it's for a good reason.
If you are serving jury duty, it is good to know that you are allowed to bring laptops, tablets etc. The court officers, judge and staff were very helpful and prompt (as much as possible) about setting expectations.
