Many of the staff are pleasant. Decent selection for a very small store. Often quite busy. Some items are hit or miss.
Honestly, I hate this Stop and Shop, and although I live down the street do everything I can to avoid it. Prices are absurd. Place is usually half trashed. Selection is sub standard. Meat selections are absolutely terrible, and the fruit never lasts more than a day or two in my home as it goes bad. The younger register staff is so rude. They eat, drink in front of you, text, talk to their friends, talk to each other in foreign languages insulting you and think you're uneducated and can't understand them...I actually go to another city to shop to avoid it. Wish they'd sell to a better chain with better employees, (minus a few of the older ladies there who I love and are the only reason I ever walk in any more)
I think the prices are pretty high and I always notice there's hardly any sales. Star Market is too expensive but they at least have lots of sales
Friendly management, established long-time personnel. Local team goes the extra mile to get back products dropped by corporate and enhance inventory of items often out of stock. Glad to have S&S in the neighborhood.
This being one of the only local grocery stores in the area is the only reason people still go here. The staff for the most part is.. I don't even know a good word. Very unhappy. The selection isn't great, and the organization of the store isn't usual for Stop and Shop. The lines are long around 5pm so try to go way before or after that time.
