I don't know if they are cheap, but I started going there because a vet named Olga was nice enough to spade street cats in my neighborhood years ago and before I had adopted a cat. Since then I have never seen her, but everyone else has been very kind. I also like the low-key atmosphere.
Best Vet experience I've ever had! I made an appointment because my dog had very bad allergies on his feet... the doctor still took the time to check his heart, legs, ears etc. He was very direct, to the point and knew exactly how to fix the situation. The price was reasonable for the information and medications I received, I've had too many bad experiences in Boston where they nickel and dime you for everything, I couldn't have asked for a better experience, but importantly within 24 hours I've already seen results with my dog on antibiotics. It's definitely your home town vet that cares more about your animal than anything else. The lady before me couldn't say enough great things when I walked in when I told her it was our first time, she couldn't have been more right!

They are the nicest and most honest vet I've been to and I've been to Waltham, Brookline VCA, Melrose, Newton and Lynn. The prices for routine care are lower than any vet I've gone with and they work with "Friends of Animals" that gives discounts on spay/neuter costs!
MY CAT I FOUND OUTSIDE, HE WAS BADLY ABUSED. I TOOK HIM TO 4 OTHER VETS B4 FINDING THIS PLACE. SPANKY LOVES THEM. THEY R LOW COST. THEY ARE TRULY THE BEST. NOW THAT I MOVED,TO SOMERVILLE I STILL MAKE THE COMMUTE TO SEE THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONLY PLACE THAT BOTH SPANKY AND I TRUST THE ONLY WAY I WILL STOP GOING THERE IS IF IT CLOSES.
