Good crowd of people. Typically once a month the Boston Transsexual and crossdresser group will meet up at Dbar on a Friday. Talk about an awesome friendly large group. Always welcoming new comers to join. A good way to meet beautiful trans women and handsome men.

Overall Dbar is a great spot very mixed crowd in a good location of Dorchester, the staff is friendly. Parking lot is tough but never had an issue with finding on street parking, plenty of it.
Fun place, strong drinks and good food. Duck grilled cheese is amazing.
We've never had a bad meal here, but typically prefer to eat outside on the patio during the warmer months since it is quieter. The food is comprised of the best parts of what they call "new american" cuisine, hearty but not gargantuan portions of updated classics. Service is typically attentive and usually warm. I've never been there late at night for the 'gay bar' scene but from what I have observed earlier in the evening, the crowd is quite diverse, from all over the spectrum.
Welcoming, a rather complex task when your not the usual expected guest! Food, always a greay, unusual variety. The servers are real down to earth allowing you to enjoy your experience. Everyone is comfortable and easy. ;)
Go for the show tunes on Tuesday night starting at 9 ... show up after 8 ... order drinks, appetizers and dinner until 10 ... show tunes start at 9 and you can make requests. Stay for show tunes, music and videos until closing. A great night out!
