Great speakeasy with unparalleled bartender expertise and service. Really in a class of their own. It's a pain in the butt how they work the door, but with the sort of numbers these guys gotta deal with I suppose it makes sense
I get it, but I don't want to describe the flavors I like so you can make me something. I like all of them or I wouldn't come to a hipster cocktail bar. Don't make me pigeonhole myself to one set of flavors so we can start a conversation about my order.
I love the vibe in this place. Nice speakeasy feeling to it. If you like whiskey get yourself an Old Fashion, these guys know what they are doing.
Such an awesome little place to grab a drink in a unique bar. There's no drinks menu. The mixologists will make you something based on what you like. So you can be sure that repeat visits will always bring you something new. Would definitely go back.
The drinks here were amazing. This review isn't based off of the quality of the drinks which was definitely superb. I was disappointed by the service, however.
I love food and drinks, and enjoy the culture and dance of establishments which take pride in what they do. Tonight I was told that we would be found seats at the bar, but that promise was never fulfilled. I would have been happier had it never been made. I described what I like in a drink, only to be "schooled" on "how things are here." When it was after closing my friends and I grabbed chairs, since we had been standing for an hour and no more customers were coming in, only to be rudely told that "it's a good thing we're leaving," by the doorman.
I've worked as a waiter. I understand frustrating customers. However, don't raise expectations that you can't fulfill. Don't act rudely to customers who have the best of intentions. And least of all don't begrudge your customers an attempt to fulfill the promise you made when it has no bearing on your ability to provide room to others.
One of my favorite places in Boston. Perfect spot if you are new to the Cocktail scene. Their staff can expertly guide you to a drink you will remember for time to come. Perfect spot if you are well versed in the land of cocktails - they know how to mix perfection.
