been here for other things like Small Business Association no it was Score. There was a great meeting with a Score volunteer who worked as a chemical engineer from India and worked for Polaroid. Liked my business plan for senior companion and agency to promote seniors to regain independence in their lives. I stopped here to see about getting a passport. It is only for expedited service and you need to show receipt for ticket to international location. They will accept Megabus ticket to Canada.
Made appointment for expedited passport. Entire staff was very pleasant and very helpful. Completed the process in under one hour and the passport will be ready in 48 hours.
My husband lost his passport the day we planned to travel. We called the agency and we're able to get an appointment the next day and the woman I spoke with let us know all of the forms we'd need to bring with us. Make sure you have passport photos and proof of future travel (we had missed our flight the night before so needed to book a new flight). With all forms and documents required we were able to secure a passport that day and fly out that night.
I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to do so because my experience with the Boston passport office exceeded my expectations. I discovered less than 2 weeks before traveling that I misplaced my passport and that it was almost expired anyway. Over a weekend I made an appointment online for Monday and was advised to show up early which I did (15 minutes). Someone screened my paperwork immediately to ensure I had everything I needed when I arrived. I left the passport office 20 minutes later and was told I would have my passport by Friday which I did. This was by far my best experience with a government office and hope they can be used as a model for others.
This is what a good government agency should look like: efficient, courteous, prompt and effective. From security guards to officials and staff, each person was helpful & respectful, allowing me to renew an expired passport on very short notice -- and enabling me to take a long-planned trip with my family.
