Sold over 2grand of my things on a move from mass to s c found it later on after delivery but would not return on make it up stay away the owner is a real piece of work should be shut down a bunch theives
Was an absolute nightmare. To begin, I was quoted $870 and ended up paying over $1300. They said it would be a 5 hour move and it was nearly 9 hours! I was moving a one bedroom apt. The movers were extremely slow. They covered a fire exit and got me in trouble with the building manager. They were yelling at each other. I was told they would have extra boxes and tape- they did not- I had to go down the street and purchase. They ran out of the packing blankets and used the moving saran wrap- AND CHARGED ME for the wrap. My mother and I started to help because it was taking so long. We disassembled some furniture. They GOOGLED me on the way to the second location and started asking me questions about my social life. They 'shoved' my furniture causing damage. They needed assistance with how to angle some of the furniture in order to get it upstairs. I contacted the owner and explained my experience. He asked that I send him an email listing my grievances and I never heard back. I do not like to leave poor reviews- but this experience was awful.
I used Brookline Moving Company to move locally sometime during July-August 2013. They sent 3 guys; one certainly seemed to do all the job but he kept SWEARING and yelling at the other two. Another guy mainly stayed inside the van. The third guy was ok; acting as the peacekeeper. I ended moving a lot of the stuff into and out of the truck, because I got tired of how slow the job was being done. The main reason for the 2 star rating is the the main guy kept blasting CURSE-WORDS in front of my wife and child; he was truly UNPROFESSIONAL. Additionally, I feel that I was LIED by the company, since they never sent us the paperwork for one of the bookcases we could not bring inside. They kept telling me that they were going to provide me with paperwork to show that we had DONATED this bookcase to the salvation army, but after multiple calls I never received such paperwork. It seemed that they just kept it or sold it and just ignored us. Needless to say, we will never use this company again to move.
Used these guys to move from Cambridge to Wellesley and the move could not have gone smoother. Neil in the office was great, always avalable by phone, and the crew they sent were funny, energetic, and professional. I needed some storage as well and they stored my stuff for free for 20 days. Cant ask for more than that. Highly recommend.
