There was a slight issue with one of my belongings when we arrived at the new apartment. I spoke to Rudy the next day and he handled it in a very prompt, professional manner. In the world of large businesses with 8 operators and 30 minute wait times to hear a complaint, it is refreshing to work with a local business that actually values its customers and works hard to deliver excellent service.

"Unfortunately the claim was not paid because the damage was done outside the truck in your house. I have the letter from insurance company to confirm it. On the contract that you sign there is $.60 per pound that is covered by the contract. Please let me know what you want to do"
STAY AWAY!!!!!! Jason was a big talker but scratched my desks and table - did not do anything to repair and then slammed me in a email when I wanted to hold him accountable.

If he worked for Gentle Giant, he clearly was not the person in charge. He complained that I said it was going to be a 6-7 hour job and it was 12 hours for which I paid him. Moving is not my expertise and thus if it went longer, I am sorry. How many moves are unexpectedly short? NOT RESPONSIBLE!!!
Was sent a couple of completely unprofessional, hillbilly dudes who reeked of weed. The moving truck had a broken liftgate which meant every item had to be physically lifted up 5 feet from the ground into the truck. The owner is a single man business who wasn't the most friendliest on the phone. The movers causes several scratches on my floor. Would find a more professional firm the next time.
This company broke an expensive furniture I bought from a local furniture store. Their insurance covers only things broke inside their truck and not damage deliver to your home. I was offer $0.60 per pound to cover the damage.
I normally don't write bad review. But I have to keep other people aware of this company.
Era Moving is FANTASTIC!! I was referred by a friend to this company. She told me that they were fast, efficient and very nice. All of those descriptions are perfectly accurate. The movers arrived early to start loading the truck. They were very careful of our belongings, but moved quickly. During the middle of packing the truck, there was a freak rain storm. The movers made sure that all of our belongings were protected and safe during the storm. They unloaded our belongings at the new apartment quickly. They were both very nice and funny, which made the whole experience more enjoyable. It was such a pleasure to work with them. Their pricing is the best in town, very fair. There are no hidden fees or loop holes that you need to worry about with Era.
