They said they will make it and get the job done and they did. This in itself is a great value. Why? Because the cheap moving co. i booked with did not bother to show up today. So I called around desperatly until I got gentle sounding gentleman on the line. Everything came out of this man was posetive; yes we can do it. No problem.. got the crew and movers for a simple all inclusive one flat hourly rate. What else was I going to ask for? I booked it. and Yes they came, did a great job and left.. Am I in my new house? you bet you. Did I save the day? Gentle Movers did that for me. Not only did they save the day, they saved my deposit of $4,500 i was about to loose to my x landlord. Yaah!! that's what I cal SUPER, EXCELLENT and FANTASTIC!! This is what this company and the movers who did the job.
No stars would be a more accurate rating. I've never written a review in my life but felt this was necessary to warn others. I can't stand deceit and people that try take advantage of others. The manager/owner is just that... he tries to cheat you out of every penny he can. Not only did they take 3 hrs to pack furniture for a one bedroom apt but they ran out of time and left my couch, lamps and paintings and charged me $1200 to take what they did manage to pack to their storage facility. I then paid $130 a month for 12 months to have my things in their shady storage unit that you aren't even allowed to access. I just went to have their movers load my own moving truck because they wanted to charge me $3600 to move it for me. That estimate took 8 wks to get and numerous phone calls/emails. I talked to him at least 3 times in the past two wks saying I would be there at 2 and he explained that I would be charged per hour for two movers to load the truck (at $140/hr) and that they would start charging after two regardless of whether I was there or not. I showed up at 1 and the movers took 30 mins (these guys were awesome 5 stars for those two workers) to load the truck and he proceeded to try to charge me for 4 hours saying that the movers had been there since 8... he even tried to get the movers to tell me they spent hours getting everything to the loading dock before I showed up and thankfully they were both talking over speaker phone and the mover was honest and said it took them 45 mins. Oh wait, did I even mention that he charged me a full month of storage for two days this month. Basically I am writing this to warn you: RUN!!!! Find someone else even if it sounds more expensive up front because at least they're probably being honest with their pricing and not out to take as much advantage of you as they can. Worst of all... hardly any of this money is actually going to the workers doing the manual hard labor but rather it's going to a greedy, deceitful subhuman. To the owner: I hope you read this and people treat you just as well as you've treated your customers.
These "Gentle Movers" just charged my daughter $800 for a less than two hour move because THE DRIVER GOT LOST. These people charge from the time they are dispatched until they unload the last box. What a rip off! Getting lost is not a valid excuse for charging more!! They literally had to move a few boxes and some furniture a few miles away... and they got lost getting to the first place. If there was an option to choose zero stars that's what they deserve! They received a VERY good tip then ripped her off big time! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!
This moving company is really gentle and fast. The 3 movers they sent moved everything from my 2 bedroom house in 5 hours. I had some unusually big and expensive furniture. They wrapped each piece in their moving blankets and moved them very carefully. I was worried first. Then I relaized these were very experienced movers. They knew how to do job right. It was also good to see that they were uniformed and well mannered, true gentlemen. I give them 7 stars.
All of these 5 star reviews are from their staff. Very unprofessional, I asked them when I could expect them and they gave me a very small window of any time between 6-12. As the day progressed we called them at 10.30 and we're told they were less than two miles away and would be there before the hour. 11.30 and no sign or call from them. They finally showed up at 1.20 and tried to force an extra mover on us which we didn't agree to. The lead foreman was always pressing attitude and trying to pressure us to sign legal documents we didn't agree with. They left our couch in the middle of the hallway and left without a word. Finally they charged us for a third mover even though we had never signed a contract agreeing to it and specifically requested two movers. After calling them 15 times over three days and being continuously put off and swept aside I was forced to take legal matters. Would not recommend, not worth any amount of money.
