Used the Zipcar in the garage. Location is good, just be careful while driving into and out of garage since people on foot use the ramps.
I'll be honest parking is a little shady and cramped but on the weekday rates were 9 dollers when I was there for 5 hours
If you aren't freaked out by crumbling cement, potholes, ragged edges, metal supports showing through, and a general atmosphere of disrepair, this can be a good cheap place to park. It's right in the heart of Chinatown, but be warned that Beach Street is one-way and you have to go all the way to Lincoln Street to get to the entrance of the garage. The roads get really jammed up down there, so leave some extra travel time. It is very close to the on ramps for 93 North and South, so getting out of town is easy if that's your escape route. I purchased 12 hours of parking on a Sunday in advance on Spothero for $7. It was the cheapest garage in the area.
A bit sketchy looking, and yeah, maybe just plain sketchy. The price can't be beat as far as I know, and it's good enough to make parking worthwhile!
It is an old styled garage, but the customer service is always great. I've never had any issues and the attendants try their best to help. I've been parking here for over a year and as long as you know how to read the signs (which there are a lot of) it is a very convenient place to park. It is close to South Station, the downtown area, and china town.
