They have been avoidant and dishonest throughout this whole process and I would not recommend them to anyone.
After a brief Zillow search, we made contact with Beth Damon at Boston Proper Real Estate, and the rest of the process has been as smooth a real estate transaction. Not only was the buying process nearly effortless, but Beth's "after market" support is remarkable. Coordinating with handyman (for renovations) as well as neighborhood indoctrination (where to shop, best restaurants, etc), even a ride to the airport after the purchase; just great!
These people are liars and manipulators. They showed me an apartment for April 1st that I loved, but when we got back to the office claimed they "just realized" it was for March 1st and talked in circles about how I was still saving money, convincing me to fill out an application. I changed my mind before the application was accepted and they refused to refund my deposit. Now they claim that I have to sign a lease through 8/31 when the application clearly states 7/31.
I went to a few Real Estate companies in Boston and found that most don't even give you what you're looking for, they just match a price with your needs. The folks at Boston Proper Real Estate were very welcoming and helped me find a great apartment really fast. I definitely recommend them!
As a tenant, they were very responsive to any repairs or issues we had. Very clear and professional communication. Would definitely rent from them again.
A really great environment! I had worked with a couple agents at this office and they didn't try to push you into renting something which happens all too often. They have an extremely large data base that seems to have every listing in Boston. Even with prices going up every year I was still able to find something with in my budget. Over all great experience with a very professional staff.
