He also couldn't have been bothered when I needed the keys two days prior my move. It took him over 24 hours to return my call.

I found Eliot Levine to be a nightmare to work with. He was dishonest and rude. I was shown an apartment and when I returned with a check ready to lease, he told me a doctor had already signed an application and he "couldn't see how it wont be approved". He then rushed me into leasing a less desirable 5th floor walk up which was extremely expensive to heat (although he had reassured me that the prior tenants "never even turned on the heat"). Two weeks after I moved in, I noticed the apartment I was told had been "rented by a doctor" was posted online available for rent.

That check has yet to arrive.

My rating is actually 5 rotten tomatoes..

After months of harassment I finally took to Yelp to alert potential tenants about the real situation here. Please read more reviews about Marston in Yelp.

What I was completely unaware of is that Marston - as a real estate service company performs very poorly after they manage to make you sign the lease. Since my last experience with rental estate in Beacon Hill was very good, I did not think about checking the google and Yelp reviews for Marston-- BIGGEST MISTAKE AND I REGRET IT.

When I looked for an apartment in Beacon hill, Kevin from Marston was friendly and very helpful.

Can't speak for all brokers at Marston - some were lovely to work with - but overall experience was terrible.

Currently there is a loud noise running through out ceiling and walls. We have already spent many sleepless nights. After writing series of emails , which were totally ignored, we called the emergency number when Michele (from Marston) apologized for the problem and said she would send a plumber over next morning. She specifically asked for me to stay at home so that I could show them the source of the sound (since they did not find anything last times, although we had sent detailed info in the email -1. where is the sound, 2. how does it feel like etc etc). This is is actually in direct breach of 'quiet enjoyment' law. Finally after wasting an entire day (skipping work) , plumber arrived and I had to show him the problem which he could not figure out on his own. Then came the cherry on the cake, Michele wrote me that nobody told me to stay at home-- what a big fat lie!!!

I would not recommend him to family or friends.

Its sad that my longest review in Yelp is a negative one. But being ignored and lied on the face since September 2016, I am left with no choice. I wanted to turn this apartment into home but thanks to Marston, I am trying to leave this place ASAP.

Eliot was again not helpful when I inquired about the storage in the basement which had been mislabeled, he was rude and told me that it was a done issue, although I had every reason to ask as it was the worst of all the storage spaces, completely dark with a hole in the wall that I could see the pavement through. The entire issue could have been avoided by clearly pointing out the mislabeling at the time of the lease signing, but this was not done by Eliot.

When water started leaking through the ceiling in the middle of the night in December, our neighbors and I had to fix that since it took Marston about 2hrs to respond to our emergency call. Next day afternoon they showed up and said and I quote -- 'It was a learning process for them'. I mean are you kidding me?!?

Final part- when you call to set an appointment with the manager or the owner, the recptionist puts you on hold and comes back saying that they are too busy to meet.. Ha ha ha... Its like telling you that the apartment is not their problem anymore. But before signing the lease they had all the time in the world. What a bunch of hypocrites.

While they were super prompt in emailing, calling, meeting before the lease was signed... they just disappeared after it was done. As someone who work 18 hrs a day, I have the least energy to purposefully call and create troubles. However my emails got ignored for months. Things took ages to get fixed. They made me call, request, beg, write emails after emails with highlights , numbering to draw their attention about the problems in the apartment; not to mention you will never ever have any chance to meet anyone in person at their office who can actually offer you any kind of solution other that repeating steriotypical phrases from the girl at the reception: 1. Oh I am so sorry. 2. Oh send us an email etc etc.

Absolutely terrible experience with Eliot Levine.

Very dishonest and rushed when showing apartments and not upfront about anything.

So moral of the story- If you wanna drive yourself crazy in an apartment that is poorly maintained by a bunch of unprofessional, unsympathetic people who do not respect your emails, phone calls and time, go ahead and seal a deal with Marston. As a current tenant, I advise to AVOID Marston at any cost and find better agents/ companies in Beacon Hill (I know there are good companies with good people, since I rented my previous apartment from one of those good companies). Do not be so naive like me; spare yourself the suffering.

Thats it! There where the fairy-tell ends and the nightmare/horror story begins.

When I had asked about moving in a few days before the New Year holiday, he was quick to collect 2 days rent from me.The following year when I left the apartment in mid-December, but was paid through the end of month, he contacted me to casually ask if the new tenant could "put a few things in the apartment after the Christmas holiday". I told him that I expected payment as that was how it had worked for me the year before.

A circus is ran better then Martson. Its an absolute mess.
