Great for fairly authentic Mexican street food. I'm from Phoenix and my girlfriend is from Mexico, so we're always looking for a taste of home, and they certainly delivered. Good portions, friendly staff. Seating can be tight if you want to eat their, but please don't let that stop you. Would recommend for the fish tacos alone.
I haven't been here in a while and just finished my meal. It's a good reminder that I need to come back more often! The prices are great and portions are huge, well, at least the burritos are. I had a veggie burrito that came with cheese, black beans and a mix of veggies. It does come with salsa but I axed that. My partner had a chicken burrito. We both loved every bite and plan to return soon!
I'm not much into mexican food so I don't have enough experience to compare with other places but the burrito was...well it was "worth" the price due to the portion. Portion was ridiculous, but most of it was just rice. Very blend. No flavor. Hard to chew...honestly i thought it would be a good place due to the fairly positive reviews. Not my cup of tea.
The food is okay but still kind of expensive for the portion size. As there's not many other Mexican food places in Boston it's difficult to suggest another place though. Would be nice for friends to get a quick bite.
One if my favorite Mexican places in Boston, amazing taco, chimichangas, burritos, and the best horchata I've had. If you're looking for good, real food El Pelón is the place to go! Its a good worth for the price!
