I always go here when in Boston for my Asian groceries. Great selection of rice, produce, noodles, condiments, cookware, frozen items, and meats. Gets crowded on weekends.
One of the worst experience at Cmart again.
The ideal supermarket in Boston for cheap Asian food, including meats and produce. Lacks insects (due to fast expirations). The seafood corner is fairly revolting and inhumane. I would stay away from the seafood corner unless you're cool with that sort of thing.
Cashier had a attitude to begin with and got gradually worst as the transaction goes. She had a headphone on seemingly listening to something but quick started yelling at my mom for opening one of the newspaper which we thought was the wrapping paper used for glass cans. She sternly and angrily told my mom to put it back if you are not buying it and accused her of messing up the paper and she would be in trouble with customer. I guess we are not customer to her. Very rude and abrasive personality, not sure how they get to work in a service industry when they can't be nice to people. Very bad experience, I would be avoiding this store now.
I love this place; the prices are very reasonable, and they have a very good selection of snacks, spices, produce, frozen foods, household items, etc. They have my favorite kinds of dried sweet potato and mushroom jerky, so I always stop by when I'm in the area.
Well stocked Asian grocer, poorly organized so it will take several visits to learn where everything is, and very few of the staff speak any English, so just be patient. I usually get help from other shoppers when I can't find something. Outstanding inventory of spices, chili pastes, tofu, noodles, and seafood, both fresh and frozen. Great place to buy inexpensive but high quality frozen dumplings.
