Great venue for concerts. They usually host more indie music, but also some bigger acts. I think you can also host private events at House of Blues. Majority of it is standing room (floor tickets or matinee tickets) with some seating and tables on the upper floors. The venue has a great atmosphere.
Uncomfortable and inexperienced staff who violate rights and graze over things that should not be allowed. Loved the band I saw and the bartender. View points for standing tickets are very slim and drinks are super expensive. $7 for a simple hard cider can - $8 for an IPA can. This a must be prepared type of venue. Bathrooms are unmanaged. This place needs some serious updating. Would be great to have a place around that is well staffed, convenient for all concert viewers, more reasonably priced alcohol... and clean/updated. Sad to see such a great place not being kept up with.
It's a TON of fun though and there is a well managed coat check!
Due to the set up of this venue it is often difficult to see the stage or find a good spot to stand. Also would be nice if they had some seating. They pull in great artists but it is not an ideal venue.
Viewing from the two floors above is a bit difficult. The food and beer is good. The music however is phenomenal. The two bands I’ve seen are brilliant and the sound quality is exceptional. Just arrive early if you want to see the stage properly
Smaller venue with tons of spots with obstructed views. You have to get to shows super early if you have gen admission and expect to stand for the full duration in one spot.
