Whenever I am in the area I make it a point to stop in here for a drink. Keith C being one of my favorite bartenders in the city always makes me a great cocktail. The food is pretty good as well, I cant say anything Ive ever had bad here! Stop by next time your in the area, the beer selection is out of this world.
The waiter was awful. He was very slow. If we asked for something he would snap at us. The restaurant has 1 dessert; We asked what the dessert was. The waiter stated it had raspberries and pistachios and he liked it. We were almost late to our show because it took so long to get the check. The food was ugh, nothing special. I would avoid this place. There are way better options in downtown crossing.
Food was good. More a 4.5 stars overall. Nice menu of beers. Oysters were amazing although I believe they have a rotating menu of oysters. Pork rinds were very crispy. Nice seasoning. Beet salad was good even though I am not a fan of beets. Had trout with Brussels which was also good.
The unassuming facade might fool you, but venture in and you're in for a treat. Arguably the best beer bar in Boston awaits. The bartenders know my name here, #blessed, but they are also always up for a recommendation, a taste, or a treat. Absolute DTX gem and a place I will recommend without caveats. The food is also great, and the $5 bar bites you can find on Fridays or football days are a tasty bargain as well.
We've been to this place a couple times and have always enjoyed the food and cocktails. That said, our service experience was really bad during our most recent visit. Our waiter kept disappearing on our party of six for upwards of 30-40 minutes at a time. The water we ordered for the table never arrived. Neither did one full round of drink orders. A few of us ordered wine with our meal. It came 20 minutes after we finished eating - and that was after four reminders to other wait staff since we couldn't find our waiter. Ultimately the wine hit the table an hour after we had ordered it. We had to ask the hostess to get our bill, then ask another waiter 20 minutes later for our bill again. The individuals at our table managing the situation must have gotten up to approach a member of the wait staff 3-4 times in the approximately 3 hours we were there.
