Catering life savers - this place is great for lunch; delicious food, great prices. I've used them for a few work meetings and received a lot of compliments. This morning, I realized I forgot to place a breakfast order for 15+ people. I called Flame Cafe, and of course there was no problem, they had everything whipped up quickly and the taste was fantastic. The staff is friendly, welcoming, they really appreciate the business. Both delivery and pick up for catering have been top notch.
Their lamb lavash ain't nothin' to mess with! Been coming here for years!
Wow!!! sometimes you get a feast for your palette that remains with you FOREVER!!!! at a recent staff meeting we were treated to a delightful gourmet of kibbabs, salads, vegetable rice and much more. Everything was fresh and oh so tasty!! All present went back for seconds and there was NOTHING left over.Flame café has made some new friends , some new forever friends. My advice would be Try it, you'll like it.
Good armenian/greek food in downtown Boston. Pricing is reasonable and portions are just the right size. Make sure you grab one of their lunch loyalty punch cards if you plan on going every once in a while. Above all else, make sure you try their garlic sauce with your meal. It tastes amazing.
This is hands down, the best gyro in Boston. I've had the chicken, lamb & pork and all are perfectly done. Everything is seasoned just right, not too much, not too little. And I was shocked to find out, their food is actually healthy. I guess the method of cooking reduces the amount of fat in the meats. The rest is just yummy sauce and fresh veggies. Instead of traditional pita bread, they use something called lavash. This was my first experience with lavash. The best way I can describe it is like a wrap, only without the doughy flavor wraps tend to have. It complements it perfectly, as it doesn't overpower the meat and veggies inside, like too much bread can. I've had a few other dishes, like the kabobs, but I always seem to fall back on the gyro, which everyone in my office just calls "lavash", since it's slightly different than a traditional pita wrapped gyro. Service is prompt and everyone is always smiling and inviting. The prices are very reasonable, considering it's in the heart of the financial district. You can't beat under $10 for lunch - if you get something on special, under $8 including a drink. Pretty darn reasonable. If you are looking for a yummy alternative to the same old turkey sub, definitely try Flame. Oh, and until someone pointed it out to me, I didn't realize that there are different sauces you can try on the counter where the silverware is. They are tasty, but I like mine plain.
