Great food's, sandwiches.. A bit price thou' good luck finding a seat to eat, lots of people occupying tables with just one coffee making use of free wifi..good if you're on the go menu.
Good place for a drink, though a bit pricey. Just like the pavement across the block, tends to be crowded by people that are too cheap to pay for their own wi-fi and barely even drinking coffee.
This place looks beautiful, and all the pastries delicious.
In regards to service, the reason I reduced to 4 stars was the service I had experienced on Monday night 11/20/17 was not ideal. I was in there for a quick meeting with a client. The barista who working that evening was not the most polite to me and to my client, who had never been. With the orientation of the cafe, the drink menu is situated behind the bar where the barista is, a person would naturally gravitate to that menu and it's not so obvious that you don't order in that area. My client proceeded to order with the barista and she rudely said, "you order over there" instead of just politely and briefly mentioning the flow of where to order and where to pick up your order. The cashier also got my name wrong which is sadly not uncommon but I understand it's sometimes hard to hear inside a busy cafe. That was the least of my concern. When the wrong name was called, I had a feeling it was my order but I wanted to confirm with the barista the order since there was the potential mistake, which I predicted, with my name. I proceeded to ask her the name and orders and she just stared and just pointed and named the drinks. I wanted to confirm with her in case it was another person's order who could easily order the same items. At that point the demeanor of the barista was pretty negative and it seemed like she did not want to be there. I find that concerning especially for an employee in a customer facing position.
Great staff and even better food. Their short rib sandwich was so good. The entire restaurant was clean and very well maintained. They have a big variety of desserts and snack foods. I think they have the best tomato soup I've ever had.
They have coffees and specialty seasonal lattes.
I got the $4 Chocolate Hazelnut Twist. It looks a picture but I have to take a star off, because doesn't really taste it- the hazelnut is there, but not the chocolate. It tastes more like the end of a batch of cinnamon rolls that got skimped on the filling. Mostly dense pastry to the point it's unpleasant.
I'll still be back to try more. From what I've heard of their other locations, this seems like just a fluke, and not what to expect from their quality.
The pastries are great since they are not too sugary sweet. Between the baked goods and the sandwiches. The food is simple and prepared with natural ingredients that fill you up.
