Came in on a fairly busy night. Sat at the counter and waited for a menu. Finally got a menu, and then was promptly ignored for 20 minutes. Once one of the ladies behind the counter finally noticed me she said "do you want something"

We found this place from a Google lunch recommendation and what a great find! You probably wouldn't know the bookshop was also a cafe from just walking past. The cafe is mostly upstairs and we had a great lunch. Staff friendly, service was a bit slow, but it was really busy. The tables and chairs are really jammed together, so not much room, but we were able to leave a stroller downstairs. The food was really delicious. We had to walk about an hour to get here, but we it was worth the effort. On the way out, bought my son a book and it was fun to eat lunch then browse the books.

I got up and left.

Trident is a gem! If you like to read books or eat food or read books while eating food, this is the place to go. I've been here on several occasions - coloring nights, author meet-and-greet, just shopping, grabbing dinner with a friend, hanging out at the bar reading a book - the place never disappoints. In addition to a great selection of book, the downstairs section also has greeting cards, magazines, journals, little trinkets, and some really unique household items.

It's a shame, the menu actually looks pretty good. It's too bad I actually couldn't order anything. I will never be returning to this place again. I plan conferences, and planned one of the largest theology conferences in the country. This place was suggested to me by one of the locals. This will not make my list of recommendations next year.

Bookstore section is great, tons of great gifts too. The food is okay, both dishes I have ordered were cool and seemed like they were made in a huge hurry. Wouldn't order food again but book selection is good. Most tables upstairs are too small for studying.

I love supporting small businesses especially this one because the place has a great selection of books for adults and children as well as cards and gifts. the food is pretty good. they have nice selection of drinks for coffee lovers or tea lovers. I think they even have beer. the wait staff is nice. never any issues just finding a seat at the counter. perfect place to meet and friend or hang out alone.
