I am a regular shopper at Best Buy; I frequently order things online to pick up. I usually am not one to complain, however being one that works in the industry, I have to say that I received the worst customer service I ever have in my life when I went to pick up some items today. The employee that was "helping me" basically threw the things in a bag and threw it at me, it was so rude and disrespectful. Clearly they were upset that I am a regular customer, and I must have too many orders for them to handle, even though that's THEIR JOBS. Even though it is half the distance of the next closest store, I will NEVER go to this store again because of this experience. Absolutely awful and a horrible representation of your company.
It's great having a best buy local. I've purchased many items here with ease. On suggestion is if your in a rush for something check online to make sure the item is in stock before going. I've found on multiple occasions that they stock less of certain items than other stores.
Good shop. Helpful staff. Excellent range. I visited on Black Friday so there were some excellent deals going down. Liked the fact that they had demo areas for smart home items.
I went in to buy a printer I had researched on line. I brought it to the checkout area. There was only one woman there, although there seemed to be plenty of staff just walking around. My printer rang up for $50 more than the price I expected. I showed the clerk my phone with the listing and added that there was only one price card for this printer on the shelf. We finally determined that this box had extra ink cartridges, which accounted for the additional cost. I left it at the checkout counter, walked back to the display, found the printer I had come in for, then checked the cost of additional ink cartridges. The cost for the cartridges added to the printer for $50 would have been more than $70 had I purchased them separately, so I went back to the checkout area and waited in line again to buy the printer I had picked out in error.
Stood in the Apple section of Best Buy looking for any associate to assist me in checking inventory of an item. After no one, and I mean literally not one employee was in sight, I went to the front desk to ask for assistance. The response I got was "that area is monitored and I don't have access" to which I replied would it be possible to have someone come help". After another 10 minutes an employee came over said oh we don't have that but I can check if a different store does, then proceeded to get side tracked and help another customer (granted there was absolutely no one else to help this person). Moral of the story is that this place lacks in both customer service and merchandise.
It would have been great if the wait hadn't been quite so long, and if the cashier could have quickly done a price comparison at the register. Perhaps she would have if there hadn't been a line of customers.
