Tip: you could try your luck with street parking, there is a better chance behind the building on provident street. We used SpotHero to book cheaper parking ($17 from 9am to 7pm) 2 blocks away on Arlington Street, instead of parking in the garage opposite the interview building!
They do accept credit cards, their website only mentions debit and cash.
EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!!! The staff people I met was greatly welcoming, courteous, and professional. Having driven two + hours to get to Boston, I was checked in a few minutes before my appointment and everything did not take more than 15 minutes. They said that it takes between 7-10 days to process the visa, but passport was delivered to my door two working days after my appointment. I can't feel better.
Met with the French consulate for a job interview as his assistant and the staff were respectful and friendly and the consulate praised my French fluency
Extremely fast and friendly service! Applied for a shchengen visa here on Monday, and the passport arrived the following day. I arrived 45 minutes before my appointment, and they processed my application right away and I was all set in 10 minutes.
My husband, myself and my 6 yr old daughter had our appointment this morning at the Boston France Consulate. We were applying for a short stay schengen visa for travel in April.Took no more than 10 minutes to submit our documents. Apart from list provided , we were asked for our marriage certificate and our daughter's birth certificate. Very quick and smooth process. We were told that our visas would be ready next week.
Getting an appointment here is tricky , you have to keep checking their site for available slots. And each applicant needs an appointment irrespective if you are travelling together or not. Also the website stated that only children under 6 need to be present, but I verified this and was asked to bring my daughter for fingerprints.
Also we had to submit only one photograph each, although we carried extra copies.
Update: We received our passports by express mail on Monday, 22nd May, 2017. And they gave us a visa until 15th of this December.
Great experience! My wife and I applied for short stay tourism visa. Just as the reviews mention the interview process is fast (less than 5 mins for both of us) and easy as long as you have all the documents and in the order they've mentioned. Very responsive over email, we had specific questions and they replied within 24 hrs. We had no trouble with availability of interview dates, but we were not very crunched for time. On 25th of April 2017, they were plenty of interview dates from May 9th onwards, but we booked a date for May 19th. My wife and I booked separate appointments (11:30 am and 12pm) as they say so, but they interviewed us together. They accept Airbnb as proof of accommodation. The websites says you can pay by debit card or cash, but they accept credit cards as well. My wife is currently not employed and I am planning to fund our travel, only our marriage certificate was sufficient for her proof of finance. Unlike the Spanish consulate (in the same building) they ship your passport back to you with a prepaid express envelope. This was a big relief for us as we travelled from Vermont for the interview. Just for reference I had a good experience with the Spanish consulate too 15 months back, but the wait for the interview was longer, instructions online are not as clear as the French consulate, and although responded quickly to my email, the French consulate was more clear and direct with their answers to the same questions.
