Stay here if you want fashionable, glamorous luxury in the heart of Boston. Located near such sights as Copley Square, Trinity Church, and Boston Public Library, The Fairmont is ideally located for guests who want to get the most out of Boston. Nearby shopping and food, there is always something to do. The hotel itself is beautiful, with gold adorning the ceilings and columns, a classy bar, and rooms ideal for weddings and other special events. I highly recommend the bar for drinks and snacks, the pretzel bites were particularly spectacular.
The building is gorgeous. Beautiful architecture, master's artwork on the walls etc. While the staff is friendly, our visit was not without issues as door key cards had to be programmed multiple times. The bathroom had one light switch that turned on everything except a bathroom fan because there wasn't one. Bed was comfortable, but needed a heavier blanket as the temp was 5° and wind chill -9°, and the heater would only go to 75°, which lost out against such aggressive cold. All of this is past of the charm of old grand hotels, but it can be interesting at times.
I went to the Copley Plaza Fairmount to meet some co-workers and had a pleasant experience. Everyone there was helpful and accommodating. I will definitely be visiting again
It's a beautifully maintained hotel. Check in was easy and our room (upgraded) was spacious and clean. The staff was accommodating and friendly. Carly, the hotel dog, is awesome. I've been told the restaurant is great, although I didn't have time to try it. The location can't be beat - in the heart of back bay. I'll definitely come back.
The bar is beautiful! Great atmosphere. Shaq, our waiter, is amazing. So funny and warm. Very enjoyable evening. Loved the limited release beer list.
