This place is awesome! We shared our 2 orders to get a variety of their offerings. Everything was 5 star! The hunters stew , pierogi's, shaved smoked salmon on the pancakes was out of this world. This was the highlight meal on our Boston visit and the most reasonable priced meal we had all week! Hope to get back sometime again! Who doesn't love good Polish food? Admittedly, it's difficult to find a great Polish restaurant in the States and I say that as someone who travels to Poland to be with family frequently. But Cafe Polonia is pretty good! They make due with a small space and the food is hearty and enjoyable. The bigos (hunters stew) is on the top of my list for this place and of course the pierogi.
The cafe is busy at the moment. 8 1/2 people are eating slowly in the 23 seat establishment. The food is great, hearty, unassuming and heart warming. The service is cognizant and attentive. Couldn't ask for a better place to enjoy a good sausage, beer and chocolate cake. Eat it up, you deserve it.
I went there alone for lunch last summer. I was the only dark skill person in the restaurant. I felt like I was eating with family.
Delicious, home style Polish food. Great service and food that sticks to your ribs, hearty food that is perfect for a cold winter’s day! I highly recommend!
