We stayed for about 10 minutes and that was perfect. I definitely recommend it.
One of my favorite museums in Boston. I've walked the Freedom Trail a couple of times, and this was one of the highlights on both trips. The interior iteself is interesting, being relatively unchanged from the revolutionary era. There are also plenty of very well-constructed, fascinating exhibits about the building's history. A very nice way to spend a couple of hours.
This site is included on the Go Boston Card.
Very well preserved, rich in history from the colony times and revolution, very interesting, and presented in a very pleasant way. So easy to tour.
Make sure to see the Boston Tea Party re-enactment every December 16th, at the Old South Meeting House. Fascinating and great event for all ages.
This is a very easy stop. There is an exhibit and an audio tour available for you. We instead just walked inside, sat down on a bench, and soaked up the atmosphere. If you try you can see the Colonists, hear the arguments.
This place was really cool to see. I'm so glad it's been preserved. It takes about an hour to do if you read everything. There is so much history here. I definitely would recommend checking it out!
You can't visit Boston to see History - without seeing the Old South Meeting House. My daughter and I visited on July 4 - we had already done the guided Freedom Walk, but went back to see inside the building.
