One of Boston's Most Beautiful parts of the city. Take the time to walk through Boston Common. It's a great green space which connects all parts of the city. In the springtime there is Swan boat rides and in the winter there's a skating rink.
A decent park right in the heart of the city. Best part of the park is on the east/south side with the Boston pond. This half is more beautiful and has meandering paths. The other side is great for the ball fields and large open fields. Park is best in the summer. Late fall and early winter, the leaves are gone, the grass isn't doing well, and it has a feel of being bleak.
Is not like Central Park in New York. But it has the perfect size to train, hang with your kids, or walk your dog. They ha a lot of security too
Very pretty and good place to hangout or read in the sunshine in the summer. Geese, lots of them, watch out for poo. Bring a blanket and sunglasses. It often gets crowded on weekend afternoon. Pretty in winter too, but also cold. Good for playing in the snow.
Very well lighten and cozy for the winter nice ice rink but not so perfect for starters. Required some experience due the low size of the border. They different types of activities free for everyone. From concert, theater. Or some time making a movie
I had a great time! I enjoyed walking the park, seeing the foliage, listening to the Japanese string instruments playing, people speaking different languages, seeing the Statehouse, the well maintained homes and seeing the skyscrapers surrounding the park. Only two food trucks available. Sausage vendors were there as well. I went to the garden across the street and was impressed. Squirrels will come up to you. They are big and healthy looking. Bring peanuts. A lot of variety in trees and flora. Both parks were clean and well maintained. Parking rates were reasonable. Pedestrians can be idiots. Keep your eyes on them.
