Great historical park. Make sure you go here to visit the Constitution. Docents onboard are friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of the Constitution.

Interesting spot. Plenty to see. I enjoyed visiting the USS Cassin Young - a WW2 destroyer. Nice harbour views here as well. If you have the time approach it from the walkway from the Marina - it's a bit less direct but you get marina views and then a good side on view of the USS Constitution which is the oldest sailing warship still in existence. It's also open to public viewing. Some nice buildings in this area as well - an ideal way to see the old navy shipyard and get a feeling of what it must have been like in its heyday.

Kind and knowledgeable staff. Great opportunity for some history. Charlestown Navy Yard facility includes a secured entrance to be able to get into the USS Constitution (it is a commission US Navy vessel). The indoor displays are intriguing to adults, yet accessible to children. You can't take a stroller or any food into the USS Constitution.

The Bunker Hill monument was a treat. It was easy to get to and we lucked out with street parking for a Saturday. The brief descriptions gave a sense of what happened on the Hill. The visitor's center had some informative info and brochures. The rangers were friendly and invited us to climb the 295 steps to the top of the monument (pics). That was quite the workout! People were taking it all in on the park benches, and laying on the grass. Kids were playing and adults were discussing the battle of Bunker Hill.

Spent the morning here checking out the Cassin Young and the Constitution, it was amazing! All the staff are very knowledgeable and they have great stories. Don't bother bringing your stroller as it was a little difficult to traverse and they aren't allowed on the boats anyways. We just toted the little one around, it was much easier.
