Great people, great services, great accommodation! (sarcastic tone)
very poor services and attitude from inspector in counter 5, been here few months ago, here agin today, Same african american guy here told me(Asian guy), he is too busy to look up my address, because I dont remembered permit number, and yeah there only 2 people, but the girls in the front counter are very nice and Very polite, they pulls out permit numbers as soon as I gave them the address. I have naver been treated as such rude manner, I am very concern about our government officials quality and their abilities, I hope it can be fixed and get better. feeling very sorry for those who have to deal with these people
"If you like the RMV or DMV, you'll love this place!"
If you are a new business owner, you better take two or three days to be down here. Make sure you write down exact directions of what one person told you, and their name and the date and time they told you something. Everyone there tells you one thing, and another department another. If you pay for a certificate of inspection, they do not just schedule with you. Apparently you have to schedule with them to have an inspection (renewals as well). I would think that since you are paying for a service/fee, that they would be triggered to inspect your site. Very complicated and unorganized. I understand these people are used to dealing with this for years and years but the rest of humanity hasn't, it would be nice for them to speak to you in laymens terms English and not get frustrated when you ask what something is specifically or where to go for it. Some people are more helpful than others, there is a blond woman in the CI department who is wonderful, and a gentleman in the Health department who is also wonderful and helpful.. everyone else just acts like they are there on community service and not actually being paid to do a job or help anyone. I'm not happy about being there either.. I am not being paid to be there. There needs to be a pamphlet that is titled "how to navigate what you are trying to do at 1010 Mass Ave" because it would help the general public and sadly the workers there as well.
I'm trying to get an electrical inspection of my apartment done. The city electrical inspector/supervisor is not returning calls or replying to my emails. Is this what we pay taxes for. I can't stand government bureaucracy. They all have voice mail. Nobody in this government office to answer phone calls. Spoke to the supervisor last week, he wasn't helpful at all. I'm trying to get an inspection done as required by the electric company. The process seems complex even to the private electrician I contacted and the city has no written instructions on what the procedure is for getting this inspection done.
