The corner room we had was very spacious and accommodating. It had a nice view and all of the staff was very friendly. Walking distance to many food options and other things to do.
I switched hotels to the Boston Marriott Copley Square and I will say, I am extremely pleased with the staff and customer service. They were able to transfer my points from the Courtyard Marriott to the Boston Marriott and they credited me back one night of points (40,000 to be exact) and applied it to my stay at the Boston Marriott.
Literally the most uncomfortable I have ever been in a hotel. It is 2am and between the noise outside the front of the hotel and the strange rattling, vibrating noise in my room- I can not sleep at all which is unfortunate because I am here on a business trip and tomorrow will be just peachy at work on no sleep. I am in the worst possible room for this hotel- right above the side walk, across from a parking garage. I can hear everyone outside the hotel, literally everyone. My window is pretty much right above the entrance to the hotel as well. It’s horrendous. I have to travel to Boston a few times a year for work and I will never ever book this hotel ever again. If you travel for work and need to sleep- I don’t recommend.
Five stars for customer service and friendly/helpful staff. One or two stars on the outdated hotel, the cost for a room, it should not be a Category 8 hotel classification.
The hotel is located downtown with lots of commercial buildings but plenty of bars and eateries nearby. It is near Boston Common and the start of the Freedom Trail. Outside the hotel a has a historical look but is more modern inside. Our room is comfortable but not large. A rudimentary breakfast is available. It's a good hotel but not outstanding.
As a loyal Marriott Platinum member, I tend to stay at the Courtyard brand for business. I am on a trip for pleasure and saw that this is a Category 8 hotel classification. I thought surely it must be nicer than the average Courtyard. Do not be fooled, this place is outdated, has small rooms and is a duplicate of all other Courtyards. You are paying for location only, and there are much nicer options that this grossly overpriced hotel.
This was a great hotel close to the Prudential Center (mall/Duck Tours/restaurants). We stayed here while going to concert at The Garden (5 t stops away). The staff was very nice to us. My kids loved the Exeter Sheep on the bed as we opened the door. You can keep him if you do a scavenger hunt with him around the city (or even ask nicely. It was a fun little extra that kids will love. The hotel room was clean and spacious. I was worried that we would hear a lot of noise being on the 2nd floor but we slept fine! I would definitely stay here again when we ventured to Boston again.
The general manager of both properties called me and wanted to rectify the situation immediately. All in all, I am completely satisfied as Marriott customer service and prompt, helpful responses from both hotel's staff made my stay enjoyable.
