Baseball field, small parking lot, very busy rush hour traffic- but great paved paths for running in the trees around the emerald necklace
really nice park! Plus there are a couple of small parking lots around the park, and I have never seen them full unless there is some event like a football game.
This is our favorite part of JP. The trails are beautiful, easy for anyone to do, but diverse enough to keep things interesting even after we've come here nearly every day for the last 5 months. Lots of dogs come here and the majority are friendly, but please be aware that some are not, so your recall with your dog(s) needs to be extremely well to be safe--otherwise, just leash them. It is our favorite spot any time of the year!
I play softball here every friday nights and its pretty nice in sense of the field but its very isolated
Truly a gem, one of several strung together to form the lush 7 mile-long "Emerald Necklace" that encircles parts of Boston and Brookline. Designed and created by the visionary landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted in the late 1800s, it is a priceless gift of conservation, an urban wonderland of green space that beckons us to explore - even if only for a few minutes - the restorative power of Nature.
