I was initially nervous because of the polarizing reviews here, but I had a flat I just needed to get fixed on my commuter bike. I personally had a great experience, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful (and beautiful, haha!). I insisted on fixing it myself since I had never done so before and they gave me a little spot inside the store and offered me tools. They even periodically checked in to see if I was doing alright. Also I was going to buy break pads because I thought mine were broken but it turns out the break cable was loose and they fixed that right on the spot!
I've been here several times and every time I've had a wonderful experience. They provide reasonably priced service and very quickly. Got my bike back within 24 hours whereas the other bike shops estimated they would need 5 days to do the same thing. Not only that but one time I was there to get a new tube and I wanted to change my own tire since I had never done it before and they let me do it right there in case I ran into any problems and one of the guys gave me some really great tips to get me started. Everyone I've interacted with has been super friendly. I definitely recommend!
Very happy with the service they provide.
I have gone in three times to Landry's, and all three times have been wonderful experiences. I remember one specific time I came in to get my bike chain fixed - the price was very reasonable and, upon return of my bike, I noticed they had fixed a handful of other minor issues (including a bent wheel and broken break line) all completely free of charge.
Did a ride from Bedford and back an had a blowout on the other side of the river. Walked in and they had my bike wheel trued up and I was on my way in no time. Quality service at a premium and hardly dented my wallet. If I lived in the area this would be my bike shop of choice, unfortunately I am from Pennsylvania. I will remember the kindness and courtesy of the people there who got me set in such a quick time for a good while. This place made my day.
I wrote to Landry's to ask questions about a BB. Their rep. wrote back and didn't answer one question, but told me I need to buy a BB for my bike. I already knew that. I wrote back to him and he told me to stop by and they'd set me up. They're in Boston and I'm in central Florida, so I'm not going to stop by. He wrote back, again, and told me to buy from a LBS. They deal with online orders, and they tell us to ask questions about their bikes and parts, but it seems this particular agent is not only stupid (telling me to buy a BB for my bike) but couldn't be bothered to answer my questions. Perhaps he had no idea how to answer them. My final response to him was that I'm sorry he doesn't want to sell me the BB, and that I won't be looking to buy anything from him in the future. And I wouldn't have given him the one star, even. Someone needs to fire him!
