Always had good service here, personally. Did rent a car once with brake issues (really not good!) but was not charged anything for the rental, no questions asked. I think Enterprise churn the cars out. Sometimes cars aren’t that clean but that never bothered us, sometimes we’ve been given free upgrades if happy to take a car not cleaned after previous rental. I always take the customer service and price over the cleanliness
We booked a car through hertz and after getting there and waiting in line for 15 mins were told that there were no cars, despite making a reservation days earlier. We were told we could wait for one to be returned, however the line was already 5 people deep because apparently hertz doesn't know how to count the cars in their lot nor honor reservations. Luckily for us a quick Google search told us that enterprise was a few blocks away. The experience we had there was night and day. We were helped by Oliver, a manager in training and phenomenal human being, who although they had rented their last car moments before, made a few calls and moments later drove up with a brand new infinity and handed us the keys. He also matched the price we were going to pay at horrible hertz and was honestly a joy to work with. He deserves a promotion and I can honestly say enterprise has gained a life long customer. Hertz.. Goodbye forever ✌️
My husband and I booked a car for our Thanksgiving holiday, when we picked it up they asked for his driver's license, which is from Mexico. They compared it to their I.D. guide which had a previous version of the driver's license design from 2014 and his was the most recent one from 2016. They denied us the car rental because his license didn't match their obsolete guide, so we tried to explain that they had a previous version. They told us that we were holding fake I.D's based on a story of a blogger who posted how he got a driver's license in Mexico without taking a driving test. We again explained them that you don't have to take the driving test in Mexico city to get a license. They kept asking for a real driver's license, so I took an Uber back to my apartment to get mine. On the meanwhile, they kept asking my husband questions, and he told them that I am a student here in Boston and that I'm his wife. They told him that they don't believe we were married, and that they haven't heard about my school before so basically they called us liars. He showed them the school on Google Maps so they would see it by themselves. They asked for his passport and a phone number from someone that knows us in the U.S. so he gave them my roommate's number, and that was it. By the time I arrived to the office again, they were releasing our car rental. I am not satisfied with this treatment, I don't think they should acuse people of holding fake documents since they don't know anything about other countries I.D's or the processes to get them. I would say this is a discriminatory treatment to your customers and there's nothing more offensive than making someone feel like a criminal or a liar.
